The Raffia Band Flat Slide
This slide leaves the heel open and keeps the sole flat, so your foot moves the way it does when you cross a room without shoes. The square toe gives your foot room in front. Braided raffia straps cross over the top, and the raffia upper sits against your skin.
Because the back stays open, you can step in and out without a buckle or a lace. That is the point of a slide. The flat sole keeps your heel level with your toes as you move, and the braided straps keep the shoe on your foot. A thermoplastic rubber outsole is underneath.
