Customer care
Editorial policy
Who writes the pages on this site, where the numbers come from, and how a mistake gets corrected.
The pages on athlefitstore.com are written about our own boots, heels, sandals and flats. Heel heights, shaft heights, calf circumferences, materials, closures and size runs come from our product data. Ratings and rating counts come from the pool of customer ratings on each style, and we print them as they are.
Where our product data leaves a figure out, the page leaves it out too. We do not estimate a heel height or a calf measurement from a photograph.
Photographs
Product photographs on white show our own shoes. Some of the photographs of shoes being worn, on a street or at a table, use AI-generated models. The shoes in them are ours. The people are not real customers and are not presented as such.
Foot health claims
Where a guide says something about fit, heel height or foot health that goes beyond our own product data, it names the organization it comes from, such as the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons or the American Podiatric Medical Association, and links to that page from our guides. We do not claim that a shoe treats, cures or prevents a foot condition.
